Meet Darren Aisthorpe
Darren has worked in the education sector for more than 30 years, serving in roles such as Headteacher, Vice-Principal, and Executive Headteacher in both the UK and international settings in British schools overseas. He has also worked as a School Improvement Partner and a Consultant Headteacher.
Darren’s leadership expertise spans across early years, primary, secondary, and sixth-form education. His most recent position was at an all-through school serving children from ages 0 to 18. He has expertise in leadership, school improvement, conducting school reviews, designing and implementing staffing structures, headteacher performance management, and reviewing and developing the curriculum, including the transition years from primary to secondary education.
Additionally, he is skilled in teaching and learning and school amalgamation. He has also supported both middle and senior leadership teams, as well as governing bodies. Darren supports colleagues with mutual respect, professionalism, and integrity. He builds strong working relationships with school leaders by offering both support and constructive challenge to drive sustained improvements.
