Debbie supports schools to quality assure teaching and learning with confidence and consistency. She helps staff improve classroom practice by designing and delivering high quality CPD.
She is currently working with middle leaders to develop ambitious, inclusive curriculum plans. This involves coaching middle leaders as they develop their curriculum documents, and supporting senior leaders to hold high quality professional conversations that both support and challenge middle leaders.
Debbie has regularly worked as part of external review teams alongside a trained Ofsted inspector, providing feedback on the quality of teaching and learning and suggesting clear next steps. She has also supported schools through the new Ofsted framework, accompanying inspectors on classroom visits and contributing to conversations about literacy and support for early career teachers.
She carries out reviews of English departments, looking at classroom practice, schemes of learning and departmental professional development.
Debbie also delivers professional development for staff on a range of topics, including supporting neurodivergent pupils, introverted pupils and those experiencing anxiety, checking for understanding, and the effective use of assessment.
