Meet Melanie Harte
Melanie is a coaching specialist. She started her career in education over 20 years ago as a qualified MFL teacher working in large comprehensive schools in Surrey. She has enjoyed various roles including Subject Leader and has always found supporting the professional development of others particularly rewarding. She first trained as a coach in 2005 and initially applied the approach to her work as a teacher, leader and mentor, before taking on the role of Coaching Lead implementing a whole-school coaching programme for staff and students.
Since 2019 her focus has been on facilitating different forms of coaching in school from brief, informal ‘corridor coaching’ through to extended, in depth coaching cycles. Her experience includes 1:1 staff coaching, training for teaching assistants, teachers & senior leaders as well as facilitating student peer-coaching. Melanie is a registered member of the EMCC and offers 1:1 coaching for school leaders, teachers and students. She also offers training in coaching skills to support schools looking to develop a coaching approach.
