Meet Sarah Brinkley
Sarah holds a range of qualifications including a BA (hons), MEd, NPQH, and CMgr. She has worked in education since graduating from the University of Sussex as an English teacher. She started teaching in Hove, Sussex, before moving to Oxfordshire and taking up senior leadership roles as Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for sixth form in two schools, DSL, then a deputy headship in charge of teaching and learning.
Sarah has served as a headteacher twice for a total of 10 years, before being appointed as executive headteacher and director of education in a smaller Trust. Most recently, Sarah led a team of leaders and executive headteachers across 4 counties in the South East, as Director of secondary education in a large MAT. Sarah is very experienced with headteacher appraisal, all aspects of school improvement, but also more holistic views of school culture and ethos.
Sarah has worked with several trusts giving them fresh eyes on their self-evaluation, and continues to work around quality of education, attendance, personal development and leadership and management. Sarah takes a side-by-side’ approach, so that leaders can sustain improvements in the long term.
