School Safeguarding Review
We offer you complete piece of mind with an independent safeguarding audit and review, ensuring your school or academy trust is compliant with the latest legislation and guidance, identifying strengths and offering actionable recommendations to further strengthen safeguarding policy and practice.

Ensuring that your school’s safeguarding measures are both effective and compliant with legal and statutory requirements is crucial. But how can you be sure that everything is up to standard?
At Jarvis Education, we take the stress out of safeguarding evaluations by providing a thorough audit of your school’s practices. Our service examines every aspect of safeguarding, from site security to policy implementation, identifying both areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement.
Our Process
A Safeguarding Consultant will visit your school for two full days to meet with staff, review your policies, and observe practices. Following this visit, you will receive a comprehensive Action Plan and Report, detailing findings and practical recommendations. A follow-up visit will be arranged—usually the following term—to assess progress. Throughout this process, our team will maintain regular contact, offering guidance and support to help you enhance your safeguarding framework.
Recommendations outlined in the Action Plan are optional and may involve additional costs. We’ll work closely with you to create a tailored support package that meets your budget and priorities.
What the Audit Covers
Our safeguarding audit provides an in-depth review of key areas, including:
-
Policy and Compliance: Are your safeguarding and child protection policies effective and up to date?
-
Governance Oversight: How effectively are governors overseeing and challenging safeguarding provisions?
-
Safer Recruitment: Are recruitment processes robust, and is the Single Central Record accurate?
-
DSL Role: How is the Designated Safeguarding Lead supported and managed?
-
Record-Keeping: Are records clear, thorough, and reflective of concerns, pupil voice, and Early Help needs?
-
Multi-Agency Collaboration: How well is the school engaging with external agencies?
-
Site Safety: Is your physical environment secure and safe for everyone?
-
Online Safety: Are appropriate measures in place to protect pupils in the digital space?
-
Safeguarding Culture: Does the school foster an environment where safeguarding is a shared responsibility?
-
Emerging Issues: Addressing any specific concerns identified during the audit.
Flexible Options
Audits are scheduled at a time convenient for you, working with your designated contact, such as the Headteacher or DSL. If additional time is required, this will be arranged promptly. While general advice and support are included, specific follow-up actions will be quoted separately, with costs and terms agreed in advance.
