What Is Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead Training?
It’s practical, up-to-date training for deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads, delivered to the same standard as full DSL training, as the guidance now requires. We cover the full safeguarding remit so your deputies can act with the same authority and confidence as your lead.
We tailor it to your setting so your deputies understand your policies, your systems, and your local safeguarding arrangements, ready to lead whenever they’re needed.
Who Is This Training For?
It’s designed for all education settings: maintained schools, academies, and multi-academy trusts, Alternative Provisions, and SEND Units/Hubs. It suits new and existing deputy DSLs, and staff being developed into the role. Trusts often run it across schools to build safeguarding resilience.
