What Is Trauma-Informed Practice Training?
It’s practical training that helps staff understand the impact of trauma and adversity and respond well. We cover how trauma affects the brain and behaviour, recognising the signs, building safety and relationships, and responding to distressed behaviour in a way that helps rather than harms.
We focus on practical, compassionate strategies and tailor it to your setting and your pupils, whether mainstream, AP, or specialist.
Who Is This Training For?
It’s designed for all education settings: maintained schools, academies, and multi-academy trusts, Alternative Provisions, and SEND Units/Hubs. It suits whole-school INSET, pastoral teams, and support staff. Trusts often run it across schools for a consistent, trauma-informed culture.
