We review the culture and climate of your school, with a focus on relational and restorative approaches that suit pupils with additional needs. We look at how behaviour is understood and supported, not just managed, and help you build a calm, positive environment where staff and pupils thrive. Getting culture right also helps you keep good staff, which matters enormously in special education.

We give your governing body or trust board an experienced external adviser to run a fair, rigorous headteacher appraisal. Someone who understands the demands of leading a special school and can set objectives that make sense for your setting. The result is an appraisal that is honest, defensible, and genuinely useful for the year ahead.

Leading a special school can be isolating. Our leadership coaches offer a tailored package of onsite and remote support over six or twelve months. Whether you are a new head finding your feet, an experienced leader working through a difficult period, or a senior team building capacity, you get a trusted, experienced person to think things through with.

Strong governance is vital in a special school, where the stakes are high and the context is complex. Our governance consultants carry out external reviews of governance, help boards sharpen their challenge, and can provide interim governance support during periods of change. We agree the focus with you and give your board clear, independent evidence to act on.

When a complaint, grievance, or serious concern arises, you sometimes need an impartial outside investigator. We carry out thorough, fair, and confidential investigations into matters such as staff conduct, safeguarding concerns, and governance disputes.
